Dolan Pabon has revealed what the Colombia team did differently against Nigeria in the final Group B games of 2016 Olympics.

Teofilo Gutierrez’s fourth minute strike and Pabon’s goal from the spot enabled Los Cafeteros secure quarter-final ticket against host, Brazil.

The C.F. Monterrey forward is one of the three over-aged players to feature for the South American team and has explained the bond between the players during the tournament.

“The important thing is that we all take responsibilities. I don’t think we can distinguish between the kids and the older players. This is the Colombian national team,” Dalon told fifa.com

When asked how the team could contain the team that scored five against Japan, the 28-year old was quick in his response.

“Against Japan we went looking for a third, but we switched off at the back and let them equalize. This time [against Nigeria], we played a very tactical game. We scored the goals and made sure we didn’t concede. And we had the right attitude too.”
