Los Angeles police say they plan to send Chris Brown’s case to the district attorney’s office for consideration after the R&B singer was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and then quickly posted bail.
“Any day now, detectives will submit the case to prosecutors,” Officer Aareon Jefferson of LAPD’s Media Relations Section said Wednesday.
Brown, who was released Tuesday night after posting $250,000 bail, was taken into custody by LAPD Robbery/Homicide detectives at his Tarzana home and booked downtown after a woman called 911 at 3:11 a.m. from outside his house “requesting help,” police said.
