Finally! NYSC Orientation back in Adamawa after 3-year break

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has resumed orientation of corp members in Adamawa state, after a three-year suspension caused by the Boko Haram insurgency.

Speaking in Yola on tuesday, state coordinator of NYSC, Mohammed Abubakar said 2,500 corps members were deployed to the state.

He said adequate security had been put in place with about 300 officials from the army, police, department of state security, Nigeria security and civil defence corps.

Unilorin and Six Others Develops Anti-Plagiarism Software

 

According the publication the software programme development was At the instance of the Association of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (AVCNU), University of Ilorin and six others developed anti-plagiarism software to check academic fraud.

AVCNU had mandated its Information and Communication Technology Sub-committee, chair, and the Vice-Chancellor, University of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali, to assemble IT team from Nigerian universities.

Reports said this would develop the home-grown anti-plagiarism software with the local repository.

Monitored from University Bulletin issued on Monday, the other universities involved are Al-Hikmah involved are Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin and Covenant University, Ota. He specifically noted the use of electronic voting in the conduct of the NBA’s 2016 election which produced the new national officers of the Bar, describing it as a clear milestone which points the way to go, at the national level, in this era of digital revolution. YABA Students took out to street over closure of hostel 10wks after resumption

 

Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) students took out to street today to protest against the school management for various reasons.
