Just In: Terry to leave chelsea at the end of the season

Chelsea captain and former England
defender John Terry has announced he will
leave the reigning Premier League
champions at the end of this season.
Terry was speaking to reporters after
Chelsea’s 5-1 FA Cup fourth-round win at
MK Dons on Sunday and confirmed his
career-long association with the club will
end when his current contract expires in
June.
The 35-year-old made his debut for the
Stamford Bridge outfit against Aston Villa in
the League Cup in 1998, the first of 664
appearances during which time he became
a figurehead for a trophy-laden period at
the club.
Terry boasts four Premier League titles and
five FA Cup winners’ medals, sitting
alongside three League Cup triumphs.
He was also part of successful Champions
League and Europa League campaigns in
the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons
respectively.
For England, Terry won 78 caps – 34 of
those coming as captain – before he
announced his retirement from
international football in September 2012.

Confession: Women always put me under pressure – Frank Edward

He is talented and blessed with
a captivating voice. Since his debut in
2008 with an album, The Definition,
Frank Ugochukwu Edwards simply
known as Frank Edwards has carved
a place for himself in the gospel
music scene. With his consistency as
an artiste of purpose, he has rightly
earned the appellation of “Nigeria’s
hottest gospel rock musician”.
Nicknamed Frank Rich Boy by fans,
Edwards sits atop Rocktown Records,
a label that parades a crop of talented
up and coming artistes. In this
interview, he shares his childhood
experiences, career challenges and
marriage plans among others. Enjoy.
How would you describe yourself as
an artist?
I am just a gospel evangelist who
preaches the gospel through music.
That is basically what I do.
How did your gospel music career
start?
It started just as a child who loved God
and loved music. That was all. It was
not like I was from one wealthy family
or something like that. All I had were
God, my vision and passion for music.
That was how it all started. It was all
passion
and love for music. However, music is
actually in my family. My father is a
chorister till date. He is the church
pianist; my siblings also sing very well
but not professionally. My family loved
music, I picked it up and I am here
today doing
music professionally.
How do you get inspirations for your
songs?
I am inspired by God’s words; I am
inspired by the Holy Spirit. I also get
inspired by the things I see happening
around me, and I try to do songs to
sort out particular situations. An
instance is the act of terrorism
currently going on in Nigeria and
across the world. While meditating over
the situation, God gave me a song that
I am currently doing in collaboration
with some local and international
artistes such as Micas Tomplay,
Nathaniel Bassey, Chavral Franklin, and
Don Moen among others. It is a world
peace song and we are having voices
from all over the world. We are
currently recording the song and we
intend to preach peace to the world
through the project.
What was your upbringing like; did
you find things rosy as a child?
I grew up in a very poor family. Life
was very rough and tough. I don’t
really have the right word to qualify
such situation. It’s just that everything
was not good. But the situation did not
stop my vision; it
didn’t stop my desire to be great and
do
great things. I just didn’t
allow my background to keep my back
on the ground.
Such disposition helped me to push on
no matter the situation I was facing.
What advice do you have for those
who feel that the world has come to
an end because of what they are
going through?
My advice is that the world only comes
to an end when you think so. All the
problems, difficulties and
impossibilities that you see around you
are all a mirage. I believe that
everybody can become meaningful in
life. It may not be in music, it could just
be something else.
But your ability to believe in yourself
and your creator, even when nobody
else believes in you or celebrates you,
matters a lot. When you have nothing,
your ability to stay through to your
dream and vision goes a long way to
tell God and even nature that you are
ready for life. It is better than sitting
down, folding your hands and
complaining to everybody.
Are you married or Seriously thinking
about marriage?
I am not married but marriage is in my
plans.
As a successful but single artiste, how
have you been coping with feminine
pressure?
You know that many of those you are
referring to are my fans, they love my
music. If they love your music, they are
your fans, and you cannot push them
away when they come around you,
okay?
But one has to use the wisdom of God
to avoid them politely when one senses
suggestive attitudes. But I must confess
that it has been very challenging.
Will marriage make you heave a sigh
of relief over the pressure from the
opposite sex?
It would certainly save me from a lot of
danger, pressure and what have you.
That’s what I feel. It is not really
necessary to speak in details here.
How ready are you for marriage?
For me to have discussed the issue
with you means it is something that I
now feel like doing. I feel like I am
ready for marriage mentally and
spiritually.
When is the nuptial bell ringing?
Everything is in the hands of God. If not
2016 then it would happen early 2017.
Apart from the peace song you
earlier talked about, should your fans
look out for a new song or album this
season?
Yes, I am cleaning up my next project,
which will be out this year. The work
will feature the likes of Don Moen,
Micah Stampley and several other
frontline international music stars. I
have been working on the album for
about four years and I am hoping that
it would be my biggest album ever. The
project is coming on greatly and I am
happy with the direction it is going.

Dangote moves to establish power plant in Abuja, Kano

CHAIRMAN, Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko
Dangote, has disclosed the plan to
establish power plants in Kano and
Abuja as part of a policy to develop
power infrastructure in Nigeria
He made this disclosure at the 38th
Convocation lecture of the Ahmadu
Bello University, Zaria, on Friday.
Dangote said the project was part of
the company’s $5billion joint venture
agreement with Black Rhino Group, a
subsidiary of the Black Stone Group to
develop a power infrastructure in
Africa.
This, he said, would go a long way to
boost power generation in the country.
“We are also furthering a new ground
by investing in two 554Km, 3 billion
square cubic meter feet gas offshore
pipeline project, the first indigenous
owned undersea gas pipelinethat will
supply gas to industries and power
plants and it would be run from Bonny
through Gas fields,’’ he said. In order to
make Nigeria self sufficient in Sugar
production, Dangote said plans were
underway to cultivate over 260, 000
hectares of sugar plantation to
produced 20 million metric tons of
cane and 2 million metric tons of sugar.
This is in addition to U$$1billion dollars
also earmarked for commercial
production of rice paddy. He further
stressed the development of
entrepreneurial capacity for sustainable
economic growth. According to him,
the best approach to tackle the socio-
economic problems confronting Nige
ria is to strengthen the small and
medium entrepreneurship as well as
eliminating the problem of power
supply, lack of access to finance and a
good regulatory environment. Dangote
assured the university of his support
for research and facility development.
The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu
Sanusi 11, who was the chairman on
the Occasion, commended the effort of
Dangote Group to transform the
Nigerian economy.

Local Installation
By definition, any wiki software you run
that’s only on your computer is going to be
personal. Not that you can’t share your PC,
but most of these solutions are meant to be
simple engines for note-taking.
TiddlyWiki Imagine a wiki that is
one giant document. However,
the sections are easily accessed
not by scrolling but by instantly
linking among the areas. In this
case, those sections are called
“tiddlers,” which leads to the
name TiddlyWiki. It’s essentially
an HTML document you can edit
from within the browser, then
use your browser to access it
anytime you want, jumping from
tiddler to tiddler as needed. If
you put the TiddlyWiki file on a
webpage you own, anyone can
edit it, giving you some instant
group wiki action if needed. If
you want a version of TiddlyWiki
that’s already hosted online,
TiddlySpace will provide it,
though you will need to know
some wiki markup to put it
either of them to use.
Zim Wiki This software isn’t just
for Windows. Linux users may
need wikis more than anyone,
and this tool lets a user start
making notes instantly, creating
new pages on the fly with
“WikiWords” and some WYSIWYG
tools. The Windows-only Linked
Notes looks very similar. Both
also have portable installers, so
you can run them from a USB
flash drive and take anywhere.
Notational Velocity This free,
open source, Mac-only note
taker is for gear heads who
never take their fingers off the
keyboard. In fact, its Spartan
interface doesn’t seem
particularly Mac-esque. It’s all
about taking quick notes and
quickly finding them again.
Springnote This isn’t exactly
local, but Web-based Springnote
is a note-taking website that
states right up front that it’s
“based on wiki.” There are
personal and group notebook
abilities, even an iPhone app. It’s
much more geared toward
sharing and group projects than
a full blown wiki (though you
can make a notebook public), so
it’s great for small groups. It’s all
WYSIWYG, making it simple for
novices to master quickly.
A note about the installable tools above: If
you use multiple computers but still want
access to this data on all systems, a sync
tool like Dropbox will easily make that
happen in most cases.
If you think a wiki sounds like a great
solution for you to write a personal, private
journal, well, it can be. But be careful. These
tools are all geared toward the sharing, not
the keeping of secrets. You’ll want to put
the data some place extra safe from prying
eyes. If you can’t wait to write “Dear Diary”
however, there’s a great online journal site
that prides itself on privacy called Penzu.

Learn how to create your own wiki – Part 1

We all know about Wikipedia, that vast
storehouse of online knowledge that is also
the poster child for sometimes inaccurate
data. Why do people say you can’t trust it?
Because it’s a wiki.
A wiki comes from the Hawaiian word for
“quick” and, as Wikipedia defines it, is “a
website whose users can add, modify, or
delete its content via a Web browser using
a simplified markup language or a rich-text
editor.” That means it’s created by both
experts and amateurs, but it also means it
has the knowledge and input of literally
thousands of contributors.
If you’ve only ever heard the term “wiki” in
regards to Wikipedia, you’re missing out.
There are thousands of them online with
some very specialized content—just look at
the list at WikiIndex, a wiki about wikis. For
example, the Wikimedia Foundation that
keeps Wikipedia going also supports a
dictionary called Wiktionary, a quote
collection called Wikiquote, and a free news
source called Wikinews, among others.
Specialized wikis cover Star Trek ( Memory
Alpha), Star Wars (Wookieepedia), Muppets,
music lyrics , how-to instructions, and every
other thing you can think of.
But wikis don’t have to be limited to giant
websites full of user-generated content.
Many companies use a wiki to facilitate tech
support, for example. It’s like a user
discussion forum, but better written (in
theory) and better organized. In fact, you
personally can put a wiki to work very
easily, either for use by a group, you alone,
or the entire Internet. The number of tools
for creating a wiki almost rival the number
of wikis already created. Many have
blossomed from old-school wiki software
into full-blown corporate collaboration tools
(like PBWorks) or into user-content driven
sites (check out Wetpaint).

‘i am obsessed with Genevieve, only can make me go into lesbianism – Actress Ruth Eze

SINCE Ruth Eze came into the movie
industry a few years ago, her profile
has always been on the rise, and today
she’s one of the actresses to reckon
with.
However, reacting to the rise of
homosexuals in Nollywood, the
University of Benin graduate and Imo
State-born role interpreter said that she
would never be pushed to be a part of
such immoralities.
But when pushed further, Eze
confessed that her burning, lustful
passion for sultry actress, Genevieve
Nnaji, could make her have a re-think.
Hear her: “Only Genevieve Nnaji can
make me throw caution to the wind
and become a lesbian, but fortunately
she is not. I am obsessed with
Genevieve. She makes me wet! If she
tells me to become her partner today,
I’ll apologise to God and jump at the
offer.
“Anyway, I’m not a lesbian but I am not
against them. If they believe they can
stand the consequences (of their
actions), then they can do whatever
they like with their bodies. I have good
boobs that both men and women
admire and can’t seem to take their
eyes off me. My fellow ladies always
harass me, to get intimate with them,
but I haven’t tried such.”
Ruth Eze is a talented actress cum
scriptwriter, whose mum did not
initially approve of her coming into
Nollywood until she assured her that
she would not disappoint their family.
She has written and also starred in
over a dozen hit movies including Girls
Crip, Emotional Mistake, Desperate
Hawkers and Pregnant Hawkers among
others. However, Ezeh believes her best
is yet to come.

#Lobatan: Toyin Aimahku finally confirms her relationship with Seun Egbegbe

Following the sudden breakup
between Nollywood couple Adeniyi
Johnson and Toyin Aimakhu, few
months back, lot of their fans got
curious on what could have happened
to the once believed made from heaven
couple on the way they had to end it
up like that. All effort by Niyi to settle
the issue went abortive has Toyin
insisted on not going back to the
marriage. Not more than a month after
pictures of Toyin and a colleague in the
industry called Seun Egbegbe went
Viral that lot of her fans got
disappointed in the sudden
relationship . Seun was said to later
grant a Yoruba magazine an interview
that raised people’s eyebrow on what
exactly could be going on. This
Alaakade actress has been seen on
several occasion driving Seun’s Range
Rover around the streets of Lagos city
and always in company of him to many
events, Toyin was also interrogated
and she denied bluntly, she said ” Seun
is my friend of over twelve years, He
was there for me during my hard time,
Seun stays in Ikeja while I stay on the
Island. If it’s all the pictures that made
you think we are dating you are very
wrong because I’m a very playful
person and I do more with likes of
Afeez Eniola you can ask them ” In the
early hours of Thursday 28 of January a
loyal fan (remievolution) of Toyin put it
up to her on her instagram page that is
she dating Seun Egbegbe? Toyin
answered with Yes yes….. Yessssssss
and the fan replied “you don’t have to
do that now ,why double dating” and
the she replied again “double dating
with symbols Olorun akuku Bami fun e
ni alaafia, you will be the head and not
tail…. pele. With this response of Toyin I
guess she’s tired of the hide and seek
game with Seun Egbegbe, that’s why
she has to clear the air with that
response ” yes, yes, yessss” Goodluck is
all we wish her.
