Hundreds of Gbagyi Villa residents, a community in Kaduna state have taken to the streets in protest to the governor’s threat to pull down their buildings.
Clad in black apparels, they said the community is all they know as home in the country.
They acknowledged that the community once had a skirmish with Kaduna Polytechnic, which they are said to have encroached on their land.
But they said it has since been resolved.
Senator Ali Modu Sheriff has been re-instated as the authentic National chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The appointment of Ahmed Makarfi as caretaker committee chairman has also been nullified on Thursday.
The ruling which was made by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court on Thursday, lasted for close to an hour.
It held that the purported convention held in port-Harcourt on May the 20th, 2016, was held in violation of the two court orders of the Lagos Division of the Federal High court which barred the PDP, and INEC, from holding the convention. He denied receiving over N3.1 trillion Naira as alleged by his successor, Nyesom Wike.
“If you had followed the Rivers State government when I was governor, we were the first state to introduce the Public Procurement Law in the country. The state cabinet used to call the Director General of Public Procurement in the state as an alternative governor, that they wanted an amendment to that law. A 14-year-old northwestern Wisconsin girl who said she was a psychopath looking for her first kill is accused of cycling to the home of her brother’s girlfriend, beating the girl and slitting her throat.
Kali J. Bookey, of New Richmond, was charged as an adult with attempted first-degree intentional homicide on Thursday. She is currently being held without bond at a juvenile detention center.
